It’s time to enjoy winter again! Our Snowsports program is designed for students of all ages and levels and is a great opportunity to be part of a team. HoliMont’s family-friendly atmosphere enables students to make life-long friendships all while developing their technical skills at the hand of our top-tier coaches. From beginners to elite, everyone is welcome to be part of a team and enjoy winter again!

Seasonal Programs

PARENT/TOT 6 WEEK PROGRAM (AGES 2-3): 

January 13 – February 17, 2024

Has your two or three-year-old caught the ski bug but is still too young for the full season program? In our 45-minute session, instructors will coach you and your child in the basics of skiing, beginning with boot games and activities designed to improve your child’s balance and comfort on skis, and give you the basic skills to coach him/her on your own.

Saturday 9:30 – 10:15 in our Grasshopper learning area

Cost – $440 / $540 after 11/30/2023 / $640 after 12/31/2023

TOT-GRADUATE 8 WEEK PROGRAM:  

January 13 – March 3, 2024
Pre-requisite: Parent tot program

Graduates of our Parent/Tot program are invited to slide away from their parents this year for a special 8-week program geared toward our littlest of independent skiers. This class will be mornings only and will focus on getting mileage, furthering friendships, and being safe on the mountain.

Saturday and Sunday 10:15 – 11:45

Cost – $675 / $775 after 11/30/2023 / $875 after 12/31/2023

HOLIKIDS / HOLIRIDERS / TELEKIDS:   

January 6 – March 3, 2024

HoliKids – skiers ages 4 & up
HoliRiders – snowboarders ages 4 & up
TeleKids – Ages 9 & up (must have at least 3 students’ similar ability)

If your child is brand new to the sport or an advanced skier/snowboarder looking to have fun with a group of his/her peers, our weekend programs are just the solution. Our professional instructors will coach your child in a fun-filled, safe, learning environment regardless of the equipment they are on. Groups are assigned for the season based on discipline, alpine, snowboard, or telemark, and we strive for consistency of coaching throughout the season.

Saturday 10:30 – 12:00/Lunch on Own/1:30 – 2:30, Sunday 10:30 – 12:00

Cost – $1100 / $1200 after 11/30/2023 / $1300 after 12/31/2023

HoliFree Ride

January 6 – March 10, 2024
Includes Christmas Camp December 27-30
th, 2023

Built for riders ages 8 and Up who want to learn and challenge themselves in the world of freestyle snowboarding.  Enjoy learning new tricks and tasks in and out of the park and pipe. Competitions available through the local USASA Series. USASA National Championships will be supported based on interest and number of athletes qualified. Athletes must be able to ride lifts unassisted and ride all terrain at HoliMont.  New Extended Hours.

Saturday 10:00 – 12:00/Lunch on own/1:00 – 2:30, Sunday 10:00 – 12:00 

Cost – $1400 / $1500 after 11/30/2023/ $1600 after 12/31/2023

JUNIOR HOLIHAWKS (AGES 10+):

January 6 – March 3, 2024

This program is designed for advanced skiers who want to explore everything from groomers, bumps, mountain safety, ski patrol, and terrain park. Participants will practice their skills in 2 Club races with our IntraClub Program. 

New Extended Hours this season

Saturday and Sunday 10:30 – 12:30

Cost – $935 / $1035 after 11/30/2023 / $1135 after 12/31/2023

DEW CREW (AGES 9+):

January 6 – March 3, 2024 

Dew Crew is a program for kids who like to adventure all over the mountain. They will focus on the park, skiing the trees, and everything in between. 

We are extending hours this season to provide even more learning and exploration time.

Saturday 10:30 – 12:30/Lunch on Own/1:30 – 3:00, Sunday 10:30 – 12:30

Cost – $1100 / $1200 after 11/30/2023 / $1300 after 12/31/2023

CHRISTMAS CAMP ONLY:

December 27 – 30, 2023

Join us for 4 fun days filled with skiing, riding, and celebrating with friends. Camp includes a candy race at the end of the week. Christmas Camp can be added to any seasonal program at a discounted cost.  

10:30 – 12:00 & 1:30 – 2:30 each day

Cost – $495 / $540 after 11/30/2023 / $595 after 12/25/2023

New This Season

MARCH MOMENTUM 4 WEEK PROGRAM (OPEN TO ALL ATHLETES ENROLLED IN SEASONAL PROGRAMS):

Continue your progress and passion for winter sports in March.  If you were enrolled in seasonal programs take 4 weeks in March to pick up a new skill.  Have you skied all season, jump on a board and learn to ride this March.  Riding all winter have you bored, swap your ride for two planks and learn to ski.  Interest in Telemark?  We can help!  March Momentum can be added to any seasonal program at a discounted cost.  

10:30 – 12:00 Saturday and Sunday 

Cost – $400…and $880 Value

HoliMont Snowsports Trainee Program
Prerequisites:
  • Be 14 years old
  • Take the “New Instructor Course”  PSIA e-learning course at https://lms.thesnowpros.org/product/new-instructor-course/ (this will require that you register at no cost to receive the free course) to help demonstrate their commitment and desire to become an instructor
  • After you have taken the New Instructor Course, work your way through the next PSIA e-learning course called “Delivering the Beginner Experience – Alpine”, this course is also free
  • Fill out the google form that Mary Claire will be sending out

 

Course Outline

The course will be conducted over one or two seasons depending on the age of the trainee. Upon successful completion, the program enables the trainee to lead a Holimont Children’s Program group. The course introduces current PSIA maneuvers, teaching concepts, and class management processes. All material is presented during Saturday and Sunday morning clinics., however, clinicians are available to discuss any aspect throughout the ski day.

 

Learning Objectives

The course will enable the trainee to:

  • Demonstrate the approved PSIA movement patterns
  • Create a safe, fun learning environment for their students within the Holimont Children’s Program
  • Acquire experience in snowsports instruction

 

Learning Outcomes

Successful trainees will be able to:

  • Understand and confidently demonstrate the current PSIA/AASI movement patterns
  • Able to identify the learning styles and appropriate teaching styles for a successful class outcome
  • Follow the skier safety code within their lessons
  • Follow the HoliMont Instructor Handbook rules
Course Format
  • The program features a one-hour on-snow clinic held at 8:30 am Saturday and Sunday starting January 8, 2022, and running for 9 weeks. Subsequent clinics may be added as needed.
  • Trainee Evaluation upon completion of requirements
  • Trainees must attend the required number of clinics to participate in the final on-snow exam.
  • Note: Single year Training program – 14 clinics (usually 15 or 16 years old)
  • Two-year Training program – 20 clinics over 2 year period (usually 13 or 14 years old)

 

Final Examination Format

Trainees may take the exam with the approval of attendance record, and with the recommendation of the trainer and Children’s Director.

The exam is held on-snow:

  • Manoeuvres – Gliding Wedge
  • Wedge Turns
  • Wedge Christie
  • Open Parallel
  • Dynamic Parallel
  • Teach a Lesson – 10 – 15 minute segment

 

Adult Programs

Explore the mountain with our certified, professional instructors and coaches in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Our weekend clinics are tailored to the wishes of the group. Have fun cruising the slopes while honing your skills, or go for gates, bumps, crud, and try the Terrain Park. Enjoy our wine and cheese party with all the groups. Clinics are geared towards our intermediate to advanced skiers/snowboarders.

 

NO REFUND POLICY:

All lessons and season programs are non-refundable. 24-hour notice is required for rescheduling lessons, and a $20 reschedule fee will be charged. All lessons must be rescheduled within the current ski season.
