Every week HoliMont Snowsports nominates a ski or snowboard instructor who goes above and beyond the call of duty for the Snowsports Instructor of the Week.  This dedicated employee brings not only a love for snowsports to the table but also a passion for working with others to help them further their own love of skiing/snowboarding.  This week’s instructor is…

Adele Wellman , born in Pembroke, New York, learned to ski in Tennessee. In 1985 she received her first Professional Ski Instructors of America Level 1 Certification pin in West Virginia. To date, she has her PSIA Level 3 Alpine, AASI Level 2 Snowboard, and her PSIA Level 2 Nordic certifications. Adele now lives in Salamanca with her two daughters, and works for Allegheny State Park as a Lead Naturalist during the summer. During the winter months, Adele enjoys her full-time position at HoliMont Snowsports. The ‘Tip of the Day” from Adele is “Keep constant cuff contact with the front half of your boot, and drive your skis into the turn. No one like a back seat driver.”
