New Terrain Park Supervisor at HoliMont
Press Release: 10/24/2019 by Greg Culver for Immediate Release
HoliMont is thrilled to announce its newest team member: Chris Perks
Chris Perks comes to HoliMont with a passion for designing and building terrain parks, and a focus of growing the freestyle scene. Spanning two decades, previously at Holiday Valley and Kissing Bridge, his experience includes building and fabricating park features, running the groomers, and shaping parks for all levels of skiers and riders. Chris stepped away from the grooming fleet to coach the snowboard race team at HoliMont for three seasons, traveling to Nationals with qualifying members. His leadership skills and compatibility across all departments makes him a team player and valued asset to the HoliMont family.
Chris has had the opportunity to attend numerous Cutters Camps and has built up an impressive resume designing and building special events, working with Red Bull, the Eastern Snowboard League, and USASA, to name a few.
Looking to the new season, Chris has much enthusiasm in bringing a fresh vibe to HoliMont’s terrain parks. You’ll find him and the rest of the Park Crew working together on-hill to bring fun, progressive layouts for all levels, and interacting with park users to grow the stoke.
Chris grew up in Ellicottville and starting skiing at the age of three, switching over to the dark side at the age of 10. He shares his love of snowboarding with his family and can often be found making laps with them and friends at our local resorts. He continues to reside in Ellicottville with his wife, Brenda, and two children, Mason and Taylor. During the off-season, you can find Chris riding his dirt bike, skateboarding with his kids, or daydreaming of pow turns.
